Here’s what my courses are all about, and why you need them

I just so happen to have owned and then sold a thriving group practice that had over 200 Medicare sessions per week. I billed all of them myself, gaining tons of tips and tricks that made the process easy. My online courses will help optimize your earnings using proven, simplified billing processes that will help you reach your full billing potential.

Here’s what my courses are all about, and why you need them.

Introduction to Medicare Billing

Who needs it: Behavioral health practitioners struggling with Medicare Billing

Overcome common Medicare billing challenges for behavioral health practices, including:

  • Not Finessing Billing Codes: Know the correct billing codes for each Medicare session to ensure you meet the requirements to claim them correctly, based on all codes that apply. In other words, never miss out and never get rejected.

  • Not Understanding Payer Regulations: Avoid errors related to claims rejected over the specific regulations and compliance standards set by each payor. Understand the different standards of each payor so your claims go through without delay.

  • Not Understanding the Claims Process: Accurate filings are the direct path to success. Learn how to avoid getting bogged down in what seems like a complicated process with my step-by-step instructions covering the claims process from start to finish.

  • Inaccurate Records: Learn how to keep track of each claim to avoid letting revenue you’ve earned slip through the cracks.

  • Getting Burned By Client Errors: Clients can be just as confused by Medicare and Medicare Advantage as you, which means they can give you the wrong information. Know what to ask to ensure you always have the correct information from the start to avoid errors that lead to rejection and delays.

  • Not Knowing the Different Types of Cards: Oh boy, this is such a pain and so simple to rectify. Understanding how to identify cards to ensure claims are processed properly will do a world of good for your revenue.

  • Filing Part A Instead of Part B and Vice Versa: Filing under the wrong Medicare part is a royal pain in the behind, as it is one of the quickest ways to get rejected. Understanding when you can file under each is important to streamline your billing process.

My course addresses all these issues and more, including:

The difference between Medicare and a Medicare Advantage Plan

  • Identifying coverage and regulations on telehealth for Medicare clients

  • Supplemental/Medigap plans and Medicare copays/coinsurance

  • The difference between supplemental/secondary/Medicare Advantage plans

  • Checking client eligibility and more

I also provide a comprehensive, handy Medicare Billing checklist.

Introduction to Medicare Credentialing

Who needs it:  Practitioners who want authorization to provide Medicare-covered services

As you are painfully aware, you can’t collect Medicare without credentialing. This can feel like a daunting task if you aren’t familiar with the process OR have tried and failed. I walk you through the process step-by-step and ensure you have the correct documents to submit your application successfully. This allows you to overcome common challenges such as:

  • Not Knowing the Difference Between Medicare and Medicare Advantage: There are two options for people with Medicare: Traditional Medicare and the Medicare Advantage plan. Understanding this will ensure you apply properly to all the necessary payors.

  • Not Knowing What the Heck Plan F, Plan G, Plan N Means: Again, with the supplemental insurance! Gaps lead to issues if you don’t let clients know that their deductible is going to reset and you don’t have the proper information on whether their Plan F, G or N supplement covers it or not.

  • Inconsistencies In Document Info: It’s not enough to have all your documents ready. You also have to ensure your NPI, your clinical license, bank account information, address, malpractice insurance, etc., has consistent information right down to how your business name appears on all relevant documents. I’ll show you how to get your ducks in a row before you apply.

My course addresses the challenges that lead to confusion on your part and rejection on the payors part, including:

Getting started with Medicare Credentials

  • What is Medicare and Who provides services?

  • The 4 Parts of Medicare

  • Various Medicare Plans

  • Traditional Medicare vs Medicare Advantage

What Clients Say

“I had a really great experience with Gabrielle and appreciated her knowledge, patience, direct-and-clear communication, and tips on working with Medicare! I use SimplePractice, and Gabrielle even showed me how to navigate the billing through SimplePractice. I went from “this is too hard to navigate” to “oh this is manageable; just takes time” in one coaching session! I would recommend Gabrielle to anyone who is struggling with navigating Medicare.”

— Jiewen H.

“Owning and running a practice is no easy task. Add insurance into that and: AH! Meeting with Gabrielle was so calming. I am not sure what it is about her that allows her to show she cares about your outcome but whatever it is I am thankful for! After reviewing my forms and templates and helping me update what I needed to for my practice, I truly felt confident in being able to grow more and set myself up for whatever the future holds. Could not recommend her enough!

— Andrea B.

“I was having a very difficult time billing Medicare since I live in a state that has two Medicare plans. I reached out to Gabrielle and she responded very quickly and professionally, and guided me [in] processing claims. I had been working directly with Medicare but had been getting misinformation from them for four months. After talking with Gabrielle and re-submitting claims in the manner she suggested, I was paid by Medicare in two weeks. She continues to answer and quick text questions I have sent her. If need be, I will reach out for her assistance in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.”
