Don't forget, Medicare Deductibles Reset in January 2023

Today we’re revisiting a post from December of 2022.

Happy Holidays! I know this is a slow week for most of us but wanted to send a quick reminder that it’s almost 2023 (!!!) and with that comes the resetting of the deductibles for the year! The deductible for Medicare Part B in 2023 is $226.

You can check your client’s supplemental plan (or ask the client if they know) to see if the deductible is covered but only Plan F (no longer offered, some people are grandfathered in) covers the deductible, as does some Tricare for Life plans (to my knowledge, anyway!).

If you haven’t already downloaded my insurance coverage spreadsheet from the Facebook group in the files, you can download it here. I used this spreadsheet to easily track any insurance changes with clients. If you haven’t already started asking them, make sure you ask every client (sometimes more than once!) if they have any changes to their insurance for 2023.

Finally, beginning in January, I recommend checking all clients' Medicare (and all insurance for that matter) coverage. Every year, I always had a few clients who switched to an Advantage plan and didn’t remember to tell me.

I hope this helps!

Wishing you a peaceful holiday season and plenty of abundance in 2023,

- Gabrielle
